Blue checkmarks in LG Messaging app

Anyone know what these blue checkmarks are next to my fist emoji?



First time I have seen it. The messages were to a LG Aristo, also using LG Messaging.

Both phones on T-Mobile.

That particular fist emoji was sent via a "Reply" on my Samsung S2 watch

Actually now I notice the blue checkmarks on other texts not sent from the watch, and I got this single checkmark

When I first send it

Then it turns into the blue double checkmark

It's the RCS features. Two people using the LG messaging app will get those showing up. One is for delivered, two is for read.

i did some testing, and it does seem to only work with the LG Messaging app. I tried one of us having Android Messages, and both of us having Android Messages, and no dice.

I have the double checks only with those on same cell network. U can go to settings (3 dots n top right) on ur msg list..go to texts..then more & just disable "read reports". That keeps whomever U txt from knowing U received/read their txts.
