bluetooth despair! !!

Can anybody help my s3 will not pair with photo booths at tesco asda and boots it finds the machine but the booth says no device found and this also happens in my new car with builtin handsfree very frustrated !!!!!!

Let's start with baby steps:
1. Have you ever successfully used bluetooth with your phone and any other devices?
2. I'm not familiar with the devices that you describe - what are they supposed to do?
3. Are you sure that you have visibility turned on? If not, other devices won't be able to see your phone.
There's generally a timeout that you can select for how long your phone is visible to other devices after you turn bluetooth on - it'll look something like this:(Although I'm not running the stock ROM, so it may look slightly different, but you get the idea.)
