Bluetooth in car

I've had no problem using bluetooth in my crv. Great connection and it reads out my texts to me, but how do I get it to play navigation through my speakers?

Most likely would have to choose Bluetooth mode on your car. The only music source at this point could be your phone though.

Source: I drive an Acura and the setup is similar.

My problem is that the Bluetooth connects fine with my car, but during phone calls the connection will randomly bug out. I will lose sound from the call, as if the call dropped, but the other person can hear everything I'm saying. It has done this over and over on various calls. My partner has a Droid Maxx as well, same issue. Our previous Droid Razr Maxx's worked fine.

I am so happy to have my phone announcing navigation directions without going through the car audio system so I can listen to satellite radio and use the phone navigation at same time. My old Nexus was either silent or i had to use Bluetooth audio.

Just a quick note since the latest update. I am not sure if caused by the recent update for sure but my speech recognition has been off slightly.
I had to rename 2 contacts to prevent dialing of wrong numbers...

UPDATE 11-19-13 Since the update I have to use Bluetooth audio to hear Google Navigation which sucks. I have also have had a couple of issues in call quality that were resolved by disconnecting Bluetooth and continuing the call directly on handset... Reading texts works fine.

How did you manage to get the music audio through the car but not the navigation announcements?

I have a 2012 focus with MyFord Touch. Prior to the latest OTA all of the features worked (good music quality, phone calls, navigation through speakers, and it read my text messages). After the OTA it stopped having the ability to read text messages, anyone notice this? All of the other features still work well.

Mine works fine with uconnect in my Chrysler 300. Takes a longer time to pair but once id does, there is no problem.

Yes, I have the exact same issue. Moto is aware so I am hoping for relief in a few weeks when Kit Kat lands.

BTW, I think it is still trying to read, your car just needs to be 'tuned' to the BT, then you will hear it.

On my 2011 F150 with Sync, BT works much better after the update. Now all audio goes through Sync. Before, navigation stayed on the phone. And now text messages work on Sync, didn't before.

Had major Bluetooth issues as soon as I got my Droid Maxx in September. Took my new car to the dealership three times (six hours driving time). Where they installed a new part in my car which didn't help the problem. All the service technicians Verizon phones worked, but mine did not on my Blue tooth system. Then I finally went to Verizon and got a new phone and had the same problem with the second phone. Went to a small Verizon store in our small town and got the problem "fixed". The Blue tooth in my new car is not compatible with the Droid Command Center Widget, which I loved. Once the widget is removed, Blue tooth and my phone are compatible. If the command center widget is activated again, Blue tooth shuts down in my car.

Thanks for sharing that. This may help some people going forward.

FWIW, I like the DROID command center widget, too, but it doesn't work with 3rd party launchers. Instead I've been using OneMoreClock widget on the Crime Rings skin, and it's given me at least the 3 main things that DROID command center did (I never use the TV thingy)

2013 BMW, no luck on messages or email via BMW Office... phone seems very stable though and pairs correctly.
