Bluetooth Issues

So, my brother has a Verizon '13 X and it started having connectivity issues with his Bluetooth headset - he tried multiple headsets and they all had the same issue. What happens is it'll connect to the headset, but once a call is initiated it'll drop, or sometimes it'll stay connect for 5-10 seconds then drop. He did a soft-reboot, removed all Bluetooth devices and re-connected them, and yet its still doing it. Is there anything else he could try to fix it?

Thanks

Is he using WiFi? If so, try turning WiFi off before pairing, and then turning it back on once paired. If this helps, I'm afraid it's an issue with the BT chip. As to why it would start happening now and not before, I'm not sure...

Stock or custom rom?
Did he try clearing cache through recovery?

Try turning the phone off for a few minutes, then rebooting.

Try Settings>Apps>All>Bluetooth Share
Force stop
Clear Data

Worst case scenario, FDR

Nope. He's on 4G/3G. That's what I was thinking, yeah - seemed odd...

Even if he's not connected to WiFi, having the WiFi on could interfere, but you seem to have suggested that already. Do the same issues happen if he tries to connect to other phones? Like file transfers or something? A larger file should do the trick to test it...

Stock 4.4.4.

I believe he did, but I'll double check.
