So bluetooth has been turning it's self off randomly. When I try to connect my ps4 controller via bluetooth I connect and move around for 5 seconds then bluetooth turns off. It's not the controller because I can turn it on and sit at the bluetooth screen and wait abit, then it turns off for 1/2 seconds, says "turning on bluetooth" then repeats the cycle. I just updated to lollipop hoping it would fix it but no luck. I even did a factory reset. The BLE app didn't fix it either. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Any power saving modes/apps turned on?

Thank you! And yes it was on, maybe that solved my problem, I'll have to check later. Thanks for the help.

Bluetooth turning off 5 seconds after Ps4 controller is connected. how do I fix this?

So I've narrowed it down and for some reason when I connect my DS4 via bluetooth I have full control of my device for about 5 seconds then the bluetooth turns off and back on again. I can't maintain a longer connection. :/ I'm on a very fresh build has I just updated to lollipop after doing a factory reset as I was having this issue on the version I was on, hoping lollipop would fix it but no dice. Please help! I used to use it just fine along time ago.

Re: Bluetooth turning off 5 seconds after Ps4 controller is connected. how do I fix this?

Merged threads. So turning off power saving didn't help?

I have been having the same issue staying connected to my car. It can drop out while even on a call. I have NO power savers on. Not sure what to do.

Bluetooth uses the 2.4 GHz band, so every now and then, wi-fi might interfere. If you're using 2.4 GHz for wi-fi as well, try changing the wi-fi channel the router's using. Or if you can use 5 GHz for wi-fi, do so and see if that makes any difference.

That may help! I have 2 wifi connections set up 2.4 and 5 and my phone connects to either so I'll try 5. Thanks for being so helpful.

I really have no idea what to do :/ that didn't work and wiping the cache didn't help either. I might have to take it in to the store or something. I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem and if I do they're In their car or on their pc. What could have caused this? I don't think it's lollipop because I had this problem right before I updated. What could make it suddenly decide not to work?

It might be a hardware failure. Maybe the Bluetooth radio is faulty.
