Blurry MMS from iPhone

Hey, a buddy of mine sent me a short video from his iPhone 8 and it looks like it was recorded from a flip phone. What is this due? How is your pic/video quality from other devices including iPhone?

The problem is that MMS typically limits the filesize attachment to about 1 MB, so any video that's sent via MMS gets severely compressed. Ask that person to share it in a different way, like uploading it to YouTube and sharing the link privately.

Alternatively, you could use Whatsapp or some other messaging app. Depending on where you're from, different apps will be more commonplace then others.

You can look in your settings of the messaging app see the options there.

It's an MMS thing, which is a universal standard. iPhones get around this by using iMessage, a proprietary iOS messaging platform that unfortunately is not compatible with Android. Android has plenty of similar platforms (like Telegram and Hangouts), but the other person has to use that platform as well.
