BOGO this Friday ?

Return phones ($35 restocking fee per phone), close one account and redo your account with a family plan and you'll pay $299 for a new MAXX and get the second free. Then you have to pay a $35 activation fee on the free phone. Add all that up and I think you're better staying with what you have as it would be too much hassle for the couple dollars saved.

That's what I decided to do. Didn't feel like unrooting my phones and starting all over with new ones. Got these pretty dialed in.

Thank you. We don't have a store near by, but will be going the city this weekend. I want my husband to see it before we order one.

Do both phones have to be on the same account? My girlfriend and I both have upgrade eligible accounts but we don't have a shared account, nor do we want to merge our accounts.

It appears the regular Razr Droid is Buy-One, Get One Free, not the Maxx Razr?

EDIT: I spoke to a VZW rep online. They stated it's only for the 16GB and 32GB Razr, not the Maxx. Oh well...

Call and try again. I got that same answer the first time. Second time the order went right through.

I got mine ordered today and just got my tracking info for 2 maxx's. Says they will be here Tuesday so I am keeping one and ebaying the other. Cant wait to finally have a droid that will last all day. I have been waiting for a year or so. Finally can ditch the iphone.

My wife and I had seperate accounts last week when we bought the Maxx phones. When I went back in yesterday, they said the only way to get a refund for one of the phones was to put my wife on my account, or vice versa. So yes, according to the store rep, both lines need to be on the same account.

just picked mine up localy for $217 out the door. Now that was a steal. I was just about to get 1 for that price last week. I'm glad I waited.

Called Verizon today to see if her phone would ship. Now the rep is saying that the order was cancelled on the 11th, the day after I placed it. What gives Verizon? I didn't cancel it, and he can't tell me why it was cancelled..... on hold with them now.

So the order was cancelled because a supervisor said that the offer was not for the Maxx, but only for the standard Razr. They offered to discount the early upgrade fee ($20) and ship overnight for free so I took advantage of it. She will have shorter battery life but at least she can still get an upgrade. Kind of disappointed, but it's still a free phone. I wonder if those getting the Maxx in stores are getting it because of employee error?

Not exactly free since I have to pay the extra line fee of $10 + tax for two years and the $35 activation fee.

Well, compared to some of the prices I've seen these characters on Ebay ask for, I'd gladly cover someone's fees for two years and even a little extra to get a Razr Maxx in like new condition.

Wow, this rep was entirely confusing. He thought I was going to order and pay for a new Razr today and then get a second one free- meaning I would then have a Maxx and a Razr I paid for, and then another Razr free. I cancelled the order altogether. I think those that got them in-store were lucky. The Verizon website says it's only for the Razr, and does not list the Maxx, so I guess I'm just SOL. Now to disappoint the wife....

I got mine in the store for the BOGO deal on the Maxx. :) My friend works there and said it's for the regular Razr AND the Maxx. Try a store. If the store does not have any in, they can order it for you and have it shipped right to your house.

Yeah, there is no consistency at all across Verizon. The first phone rep said the Maxx was not part of the promotion and I would have to return my Maxx and get two Razrs to get one free. The second phone rep said no problem and that I could keep my Maxx and ordered a second one for my wife under the BOGO. Then I called and found out that his supervisor cancelled the order because the Maxx was not part of the promotion. This third phone rep wanted to sell me a new Razr (on top of the Maxx I already bought) and then I would get one free.

Talked to a store rep just now and she said my wife's line, which is not due for a "Standard" upgrade till June, was not eligible at all- so there was no way to take advantage of the offer. Now she spoke with her supervisor and tried to put it through anyway, and said it went through and we only have to pay the $20 upgrade fee.

What a circus. I'm headed in to pay the upgrade fee and get the order placed now. They are out of stock but will have one shipped to me (hopefully).

I also tried doing it online. If you purchase 2 Razr Maxx's, when it gets to the shopping cart, it clearly shows one is free. Just buy it online.

Good Luck! It will be worth it in the end. It's a great phone!!
