boot loop on different phone

I posted the below in the inspire forum, but there isnt much action over there... thought I would ask you guys...

I have had quite a few Droids and rooted some, currently Im using a Nexus, but I found a guy who is getting rid of his Inspire for dirt cheap. Says its stuck in a boot loop (and hes not rooted/rom'd).

Is this something that should be easily fixed?
Just curious if its worth my time/money to buy it from him?
