Brand new Galaxy S4 not auto connecting to Wifi

I doubt it is a "glitch"
I noticed this happened to mine immediately after an OTA Update..
thx alot Samsung!

I tried all of those things. Didn't work. Found that when I clicked on the WIFI name it only allowed me to connect or cancel. "Forget" was not an option. Finally found that I had to connect to the network and then click on it to get the bigger menu. But when I told it to forget the network, and re-started, it still would not auto-connect. WiFi used to connect automatically. I think it may have been changed by one of the system updates.

FIXED MY SAMSUNG GALAXY E5..... I'm not sure if you have figured it out but for future reference I decided to post my fix to this exact same issue. About 2 weeks ago I did a factory reset on my galaxy E5, I noticed that there was an updated version of my os that was installed. I noticed it had some new things as far as display features and more advanced settings and so on. First I was pretty excited about it because I tried to update the software for a long time but it always said "not able to communicate right now try again later". Never had any issues with my old os just wanted to be up to date. Anyways, when I did the factory reset I noticed that there was alot more samsung galaxy crap the was installed on this build. I was unable to reinstall Dropbox without changing the display outputs to meet the criteria for that particular version of the Dropbox app. Figured it out and Got it installed.... Then I noticed my WiFi wouldn't automatically connect, or disconnect whenever it felt like it. I use tracfone so I have to pay for my data and it can be very expensive to use data versus wifi. So I was led to this forum through a search and was informed it might be an installed app. I don't really have apps besides the stock stuff and maybe a couple non threatening apps. Long story short I uninstalled "galaxy apps" cleared the catch and forced it to stop and sure enough the WiFi connects every time. Hope this helps.

I can confirm this too, fixed on both S5 and S4 mini by uninstalling updates for Galaxy Apps and disabled it to ensure it does not update again. Thanks!
