Browser Tab Control

[AC Question]

I have a couple of chrome shortcuts on my homescreen, which I use quite frequently. Even though I don't explicitly create extra tabs I notice that tabs start to build up after accessing the shortcuts a few times. From 1 to 2, 3 and so on. In fact if I don't delete them chrome will hang when I access one of the shortcuts. Is there a browser that offers more control over tabs? The phone is a cheapy ZTE Blade A110.
