Bug Tracker & Solution Finder

I haven'[t noticed any issues with K-9 not syncing when JD is running. I am still getting my messages OK.

Is anyone else having issue with the Bluetooth tethering? I am trying to connect it to an iPad, and it worked the first day fine, but since then, it very rarely works. The iPad will connect and show that "chain" logo, but the Nexus will say "Not Tethered". It's strange...

Is anyone else having serious issues with the Voice Dialer? First I tried it without bluetooth in a quiet room and every single time I tried to tell it to dial a certain contact it got it HORRIBLY wrong.

I tried it again with bluetooth and it was another big fail.

The voice to text feature works fairly well, so I am not sure why the Voice Dialer is so horrible.

Anyone have any tips?

Thanks!

Anyone else see a problem like the screens below? I can fix it by doing a batt pull, but it sure gets annoying.

Not 100%, but one of my friends had a similar issue like that before - Not GN, though. He ended up factory resetting. I hope this helps.

few of things that irritate me...btw i am new to android and not familiar with previous os's.

1) When i'm on wi-fi and the wi-fi signal gets lost, the phone doesn't automatically use 3g/4g. I would have to turn wi-fi off for the 3g/4g to get going. This seems to be the cause of the mms issue i had earlier. My mms would not send until i turned off wi-fi.

2) I set my phone to lock after two minutes and it does that just fine. However, when I am on a call the phone would still lock. And I would then have to unlock it again to hang up or if I wanted to use my phone while talking.

3) The headphones that came with the phone works intermittently. Sometimes it would work perfectly, sometimes I can't hear a thing and when I try to twist the connection it sometimes fixes the problem as well as turn on the music player, bring up my playlist, skip to the next song, or pauses randomly.

The silent phone icon randomly changes. Hold the power button to place phone in silent (vibrate) mode and in the top bar, most of the time the icon that looks like a little phone with vibrate lines around it shows up, but other times it will be a speaker with a line through it. No idea why this happens, but it does.

I cannot get the Android Beam to work. I have NFC and Android Beam enabled on both phones. Touch them together back to back, and after a slight delay I get a little vibration and sound, and then nothing. Instructions say there should be a touch-to-send pop up, but I'm not getting that at all.

I think my phone is possessed. I'd say about 40% of the time I unlock it, the last app I used is open, even though I closed out of it. It's happened with Gmail, Messaging, Gentle Alarm and the Phone dialer for sure (maybe others that I can't recall). Doesn't make a difference if I back out of the app using the back button or the home button. When it happened with the Phone dialer (more than once), I could not access the home screen by pressing the back button (the button would light up when pressed, but no action occurred), but pressing the home button worked (with a delay). This is pretty strange and is driving me nuts. Anyone else experience this problem and/or know what the solution is?

P.S. Got the phone Monday morning, rooted it that night, and started having this problem on Wednesday. While my phone may be rooted, I haven't messed with it other than installing apps and stuff.

I know this is all over the forums, but I can't fix the speaker volume! I have the paid Volume+ and turned it up to +15. The volume has no change, I love this phone but this may be a killer for me

Have you first enabled it in Settings > Sound >Music Effects > select Volume+ instead of MusicFX > Click OK then ignore error message that comes up? Then go into Volume+ and reset your volumes. (If you leave it at +15 and it comes on like that you will probably blow your speaker. )

this is odd, and I can't figure it out. When I send a text to a friend's #, I get a red triangle with an exclamation point in the center by the time sent. I know she gets them as she responds. It only seems to do it on her #.

Anyone have an idea what that means?

Phone shut off after supposedly running the battery down plug it in and boot back up and it is at 47% and has stayed that way. Very odd. Does the phone not understand how to read the battery?

Did you actually buy 'Volume+ (Sound Boost)'? There are a few other apps with very similar names.

As far as I heard, if you put it too high (like +15), it does not work. Try +8. It is already loud enough for me.

Could be the battery calibration. You may need to recalibrate it. Try drain the battery all the way, then do a full charge (at least for four to five hours). Then repeat it for one or two more times. You also might want to delete your battery stat file.

How do you delete battery stat. file?

Hi, I didn't see this problem anywhere else and I'm just wondering if I got a defected unit or not. What happens is my screen will just go black out of nowhere. I can be browsing the internet and it will go black, but my phone would not be in sleep (I can press the volume button and hear it, also feel vibrations when I click on links etc.) I have a feeling it is some app I installed so I delete them and it doesn't happen so much, but when it does it gets to the point where the phone is pretty much useless. Anyone else experienced this yet?

For my case, Juice Defender seems to work perfect. I am on 17hr 42min so far, and I still have 59% of battery. On-screen time is just about 30min. Basically, minimal usage. However, at this pace, mine may reach 36hr, if lucky.
What settings are you using for JD?
