If you are already correcting the spelling, why do you need autocorrection to chime in? ;)

If my goal word were "tomatoes", it would save me having to type 3 extra letters out. I know what you're saying, but there are scenarios where it would make sense. Plus, there's simply no reason it doesn't.

Also, something else I noticed... Is there a reason notifications in the status bar are slightly further away from the left edge of the screen? It's like there's enough room for two or three more notifications in that empty space, but everything gets bumped up past it a little.

What's odd is, the first GNex I had wasn't completely like this; what I mean is, I use Juice Defender, and on my first GNex, the JD status bar icon was all the way to the left, but then there'd be a blank space between it and the rest of the notification icons. Now on my new GNex, even the JD icon is bumped to the left.

This isn't really a "problem", but I'm curious why this is, and if there's any way to change this at all.

The adding of the icons on installing is a setting in the market settings you can turn off called auto-add widgets .. I hated that also, so annoying.

I don't see that on my phone. What I think it may be is you have an icon (or two) that is being displayed in the notification bar but are colored the same as the notification background and are therefore invisible to you. I had one notification like that, it was in the middle of two other icons which created a gap between the two that seemed odd.

i have the same "problem". it only happens when im using juicedefender. i uninstalled JD and rebooted, problem went away. i like juicedefender so i installed it and just turned off the notification in status bar. it looks like there is a blank notification or two directly to the left of the JD icon

See, here's how it looked on my first Nexus:

And here's how it looks on the new one:

On both, any other notifications start where the Juice Defender icon is in the second pic.

The second one is how mine looks too. Did it on stock rom and also on gummyrom

I still think your problem is you have an icon that is colored black, and therefore is black and black and isn't being displayed. I see the same type of display:

But that's because one of my icons is black/black, change the color and all looks fine then.

Just my guess....

I guess that's possible, but I can't think of anything that would be "hiding", though. Juice Defender was one of the first apps I installed on my second Galaxy Nexus, and it was doing that from the beginning. To my knowledge, I don't have any apps with a "black" notification icon. Wouldn't there be something listed in my pull down list of notifications, anyway?

My only issue so far seems to be with the volume controls..
When on a call I can't increase or decrease the volume using the rocker. Image will display on the phone showing the volume bar being moved up or down, but the actual volume level i'm hearing is unchanged.

I have this same problem and haven't been able to find any solution. Anyone have any ideas?

"Is there a reason notifications in the status bar are slightly further away from the left edge of the screen?"
In my setup the USB connection icon for a media device hides there until connected to a computer.

One issue I'm having and one fix I've found....

Direct Message: sometimes when I use my Direct Message icons the messenger (both stock and app), will txt someone else in my contacts (always someone I've recently txted). Even when I clear the history this happens. I've had to start entering the contact as I compose a txt.

Media transfers: I HATE not having a microSD card, but I've found that putting the phone into airplane mode prior to connecting to PC improves the speed and reliability of file transfers.

Also, this phone (and according to VZW, all new 4G phones), doesn't automatically turn mobile data on/off when sending/receiving a MMS. This gets pretty irritating as MMS only sends over the mobile network (i.e. won't work over wi-fi).

BUG : Cannot receive picture text messages... It shows a paper clip next to the message before opening but I cannot view or download it

Are you using stock msg application or third party? I've seen similar problems in handcent.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

i have tried the stock and also chomp sms.. neither seem to be working.. my GF has an iphone 4s and is making fun of my nexus for not being able to receive picture text messages.. help!

I haven't had any problems receiving pics on mine. I use the stock browser.

Has anyone found a solution to TUFFYKT issue of Direct Message sending messages to the wrong people. I have this problem along with the message indicating at the top that it is from someone else that I have recently sent a text to. Very annoying issue.(both stock and app)
Thanks

Quick question, what are "SEARCES"?? :p

I could've sworn that I read in another thread that this is intentional on FBs part. Something with the API. Could be misremembering though.
I use friendcaster to sync FB contacts. FB and Google have some kind of disagreement, so the contacts are not synced intentionally. It's not a glitch.
