Bugless Beast Froyo release!

New BB V0.4!

Idk how many people noticed, but when I checked Bugless Beast in Rom Manager, there is a new version of BB out based on the new leaked version of Froyo for the Droid. It is called Bugless Beast V0.4. Has anyone downloaded it yet?

Just rooted my droid this evening, and while it was one of the most stressful things in my life it was most definitely worth it! I am on BB v0.4 and so far it changes my mind of changing up to the Droid X for the time being!

I rooted the Droid for the first time last night and put the Bugless Beast V0.4 on there. I haven't had any issues what-so-ever and it seems to be running like a dream.

Anyone else having trouble getting it to load from ROM manager? I download the rom, and when it goes to install it just reboots and returns to the same build I had previously.

@Yaish, that sounds like a problem with cmr, try rolling back to an earlier version then flashing the ROM; should work.

That's exactly what it was. The first alternate I flashed to had an error also, but the one before that worked.

Installing and tweaking now...

I had some trouble with rom manager for the first time getting over to bugless beast.

It's a good idea to flash rom manger 2-3 times. My backup didn't work from Rom Manager so when I got stuck in a boot loop I had to wipe everything, reload an older froyo build I had, and get back running with that.

THEN I did the three re-flashes, downloaded BB .4 onto the sd card, rebooted into clockwork mod recovery for manual update and was good to go.

One member recommended NOT using OTA updates with rom manager and froyo, to instead download them on the PC, move them to the sdcard and apply it from there in manual mode.

That worked.,

and btw if you remove the stock mms with the scripts, then google voice will not get push sms for you. As soon as you put it back on, google voice will receive push again.

Yesterday was my first full day with BB.4 and I was impressed. I unplugged my phone at 6:30 am and it died sometime after I went to sleep at 3AM. So battery life is good for me. The phone mostly was idle from 7am-4pm (work) but then after that I was texting people and calling people the rest of the night. Not much data going on but its a darn good start.

I am clocked at 528mhz, stock for the rom i guess, and the phone is so quick I really dont think i even need to download another kernal. Might try anyway to see if any use even less battery.

Very stock android, i think it includes some visual tweeks but I havent found them yet. will play with it more today.

IIRC, the BB.4 ROM/Kernel is already OC'd @800mhz. FWIW.

As for me and my battery life...... I think I discovered the cause of my atrocious 10-15% drop per hour... I'll report back after a few days of testing to be sure.

sometimes my set cpu reads 528 and others such as now ir reads 800. but when I try to change it the highest it goes is 528. oh wel still quick. Just gotta find a theme for BB.4 now.

In setcpu, go to settings and make sure your device is set to autodetect, not droid.

I am using BB.4 and I like the RedLine theme by roberj13 from the rom manager, I also got the goodies folder from JRummy to add a new boot animation and new live wallpaper
