Bump Charging Newbie...

So i have never done this sort of charging before-is there a noticeable difference with the battery when this is done? And if so, how often does one do this? Every time they charge the phone, or every time the phone is charged during the battery break in/adjustment phase?

Based on what I've read this is done during the break in period, but I'm doing it for the first time as well.
