Bumper Cases for the Moto Z Force

I ordered the black one on Friday and it will be delivered tomorrow. I'm hoping it has been updated as well, but I'm also prepared to modify it if necessary.

It looks like the the black has been corrected as well. I just received mine today and it fits with the original wood back just fine, no modification necessary. 1474392819625.jpg1474392831917.jpg1474392841635.jpg1474392849805.jpg

I still haven't used the old black one I bought. I wonder if I can exchange it.

I would definitely think so. Can't hurt to try. After all they modified from original due to an obvious issue. You deserve the corrected version.

Bought a clear one for the Moto Z Play at my local Verizon store today and it works flawlessly with the style shell and charger. Seems like the defect plaguing earlier cases has been corrected. Overall, it's a solid case if you're wanting to use a style shell and need protection from drops. However, the volume and power buttons are very stiff to press. That may change as the case is used more and more, but it's something to keep in mind if you're considering this case. If you use the fingerprint reader as your lock-unlock key and switch from your volume levels to DND mode via the quick settings menu as I do then all that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Personally, I'm just happy there's a bumper for this phone that's not one of those hideously thick Rhino Shields. :p

Just double checked mine (early Z Force bumper that required modification around charging port & back) - the buttons feel nearly identical in needed pressure and feedback "click" with and without the bumper. Might be something specific to the Z Play bumper?

I took the original Z Force bumper back to a Verizon corporate store and they switched out with the new one. Much happier with that.

I've searched just about everywhere for another bumper besides the Verizon one, and I'm coming up completely empty handed. Thought even a Chinese manufacturer would've made a decent one by now, but I guess I'm wrong. I like the Verizon bumper, but I would at least like to compare to something else that would allow me to use the different mods.

Are you having an issue plugging into the 3.5mm jack?

Just picked up this case for my play and can't plug into the jack.

My local Verizon Wireless store didn't have any Force bumper cases, so I ordered it from the VZW website. They shipped next day and I got it (in So. Cal.) a couple days later. Free shipping.

It was easy to put on and all my mods (style back, speaker, incipio wireless charging battery) snap right on perfectly. I just tried the side buttons and they click & work just about the same whether the bumper case is on or not on. Cables plug right into the USB-C connector with no problem at all.

Highly Recommended!

My nearby store still had the old ones.

I ordered both bumpers online from Verizon (since they're BOGO). I hope I get the new ones.

If you bought the bumper for the Z Force, then it's not going to be set up for a 3.5mm jack, since the Force doesn't have one. I would think it's easily modded for it though.

I ordered the black bumper case the other day it came this morning. It is definitely the new one! No modifications has to be done!

I can't see how that first batch made it all the way to store shelves.
