Bumper Question

For anyone who has a bumper on their X (not case, but just the bumper)... how does the phone sit on it's back with the bumper on? Flat, or still does it still wobble/spin on hard surfaces when attempting one-handed operation from that position? I'm looking for something that will protect the edges a little and also allow the phone to lay flat on a desk. Not interested in a normal case.

Thanks, but that is a case. I'm looking for edge bumper-only options that will sit flat (open back).
