Button Failure

[Billy the Kid Dunker]

So I press the Home and Tasks buttons, and the animation happens (The vibration and the white light around the button goes off) but the dont do what they are supposed to, the actually do nothing after the animation. The only functional button is the Back button. Im on a XT1527 with 6.0. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
PS: My memory ran out just before the problem started.
