I saw on Reddit that if you do the trade in and they get it, you can't get your old Pixel back.

Well I am thinking about changing my order from 64 GB to 128 GB
After all, I will use the P2XL for 3 years

yes, please everyone cancel their XL2 Panda 64GB, maybe I'll move up the line and get mine before December :(

At first I had a slight tickle of buyers remorse, but I managed to pre-order a kinda blue before they sold out so not much as I'm sure they'll be hard to get in the future. Once I saw the video by Nat and Friends that showed off the Pixel 2 camera any shred of remorse vanished

I would have loved an XL kinda blue, unlocked. But whatever.. Verizon only. Haha

Yeah I recently heard the Kinda Blue was a Verizon exclusive in the US. You guys need to get a relative in Canada. All models available directly from Google up here :D

A very wise friend once told me if you pay too much it'll hurt today. Pay too little, and it'll hurt throughout your time with what you bought.
This made me ROTFLMAO. This makes no sense unless you factor in quality. Low quality + low price = good, low quality + high price = bad, high quality + high price = good, high quality + low price = great. Are you saying that it is okay to pay the high price for this phone because it is guaranteed to be high quality?

Phone quality and price point are somewhat diverging traits after a certain point on the quality and price scale. For example, do you think that the iPhone X is really worth 20% more when compared to the iPhone 8 Plus on components alone? Hint, no, it's not.

Every year I buy the new Nexus or Pixel and every year I regret doing so because I inevitably sell my Note to get it. I usually get buyers remorse as soon as I get the Pixel. Then somehow I end up with an iphone until the new Note comes out the next year. But, not this year. Got the Note on September 5th and keeping the Note. No buyers remorse this year.

This hurt my feelings:'(:'(

I mean, really??? A simple "adage", and you gotta go nit-pic.
We were building a house and really wanted a high end gas range, like industrial. Expensive. Very expensive. Went up and back between that and a more reasonable model at least 90% as good but 40% less. Guess which one we bought? Yup, the more expensive one, and enjoyed it for a decade. Every day.

So laugh all you want, but the spirit of my post was simply that if you truly want something that you can afford be cautious about depriving yourself. Saving today may be the right answer, but make sure, otherwise you might regret not taking the plunge.

You're a sweetheart too, BTW

Only when I think about how much the phones costs and everything else I could do with that money, and that fact that I have a phone already that works fine. But I'm happy to finally get a Pixel phone and hope to not need to update for a few years.

Only thing that's a little bit of a let down is this waiting period. Was on the forums everyday before the announcement and you could feel the excitement. Now, it's just a low energy waiting period on here.

No regrets. Tested a mostly final version for almost two months and really excited for the phone I ordered to arrive someday.

I go back and forth every other hour. I have the note 8. Got it launch day and absolutely love it. However like a few others I got caught up in all the hype and ordered it. Got delivery day of the 18-19th of October. So I'm gonna wait it out till I get it play with it for a few days and decide which one I like. If I like the note better I'll return the pixel. If I like the pixel I'll sell off the note.
