Buyers Remorse. Anyone starting to get it?

I go back and forth every other hour. I have the note 8. Got it launch day and absolutely love it. However like a few others I got caught up in all the hype and ordered it. Got delivery day of the 18-19th of October. So I'm gonna wait it out till I get it play with it for a few days and decide which one I like. If I like the note better I'll return the pixel. If I like the pixel I'll sell off the note.
Note 8 is a pretty awesome device, if I was holding both not sure I could decide very easily. Very strong but in very different ways.

Only when I think about how much the phones costs and everything else I could do with that money, and that fact that I have a phone already that works fine. But I'm happy to finally get a Pixel phone and hope to not need to update for a few years.

Only thing that's a little bit of a let down is this waiting period. Was on the forums everyday before the announcement and you could feel the excitement. Now, it's just a low energy waiting period on here.

Your first paragraph describes me also. It's the psychological factor of flagships breaking the $1000 price point.

Buyer's Remorse?!?! Not in the least!! Heck, I keep checking to see if my ship date got moved up from the 19th!! (I know it won't guys)

I'm actually surprised how much i like the note whenever i play with it. Didn't think I'd even consider it but now it's making my next phones decision much harder. It's probably because it's a lot faster than what I've come to expect from Sammy.

Hopefully the mate 10 is either the best phone ever or super disappointing because i don't know what I'm gonna do if i have 3 phones to decide between.

$650 with free Home Mini
, $350 off trade in, and half off with TMobile.

&Uck yeah. Zero regret. Best Android experience for the next year. Don't need sexy curved bezel or SD card

1000 dollars is really not a lot of money for the average person these days. I think it just seems like a lot because it feels like the same money from when I was a kid.

I get what you are saying, but it is to me when you consider the much shorter shelf life of technology or other products a $1,000 would buy.

I absolutely love my note. The only real reason I jumped so fast at the pixel is because of last year's shortage. I figured id rather guarantee to get it now and try and make up my mind rather than have it release and not be able to get it for months on end. Worst case scenario I keep both phones and give the note to my wife and switch back and forth when I feel the need lol.

I am with you. The Note 8 is really that good. The only things I can find myself criticizing are the height of the device and the fingerprint sensor. When I compare the size of the Pixel 2 XL, it is not much shorter than the Note 8. I ordered the XL, but I am really struggling with justifying the order. I have tried many devices and when I ask myself why would I set aside the Note 8 to use this device (fill in the blank), I cannot justify the change. When I think about the fact that I paid about $500 for the Note 8 with the trade in for Note 7 buyers, there really is no phone that can top it for the money.

I am a phone junkie and have literally tried about every phone (some several times) and when I think about just sticking with one device it is hard, but when I really try to justify a change, it just makes sense to stick with the Note 8.

The only thing I have buyers remorse about is the preferred care I bought at the same time as the phone. I may cancel it within 30 days for a full refund.

The reason for me would be the guaranteed fast software updates. Now, when you throw in the $500 equation that makes it a tougher proposition.

Samsung is the best OEM as far as updates. It is not close to getting them straight from Google, but Samsung is good with the security updates. Plus, sometimes Samsung straightens out the stuff Google messes up with its updates.

Sounds like Nokia wants that #2 spot that Samsung has now

That's exactly what I'm thinking about doing getting the 350 and taking it to t mobile I just hope it's no hassle

Huh. HTC updates their phones faster than Samsung. I've seen countless articles on this topic. HTC has the most transparent process.

Not as far as security updates are concerned. Samsung is usually running about a month behind. HTC is not close.

Why would HTC need the same security updates when Samsung's TouchWiz is far different from the practically stock Android OS that HTC uses? Not to mention what I last saw HTC/Sprint we're the fastest to push out updates.

The security updates Google sends out monthly.

Oh boy I can't believe people are praising Samsung updates. That is setting the bar really low. Not my experience with S4, S7 and S7 Edge. I am on Verizon though, but not an excuse for Samsung.
