Guess you're right...
Still, $65 seems like too little.

Phone is up on Verizon...now just waiting on Best Buy!

Well I decided not to wait after all. Price including tax and geek squad protection came out to $871.47 (with a $30 gift card I happened to have). I'll be doing a trade in on my s4 to get some money back. ☺ can't wait!!

So cancel the BB order and buy it somewhere else. Less headache and stress.

Well Best Buy is doing the $50 right off the top (no mail in rebates) plus I have a $50 credit to apply from a special upgrade promotion they were doing...plus I want to trade in my phone right there so in the end the headaches might be worth me saving some significant cash!

You could sell you current device for more than what they will give you on trade in.
Even something as old as the S3 (in great condition but refurbished)?

Thanks for pointing out Swappa! I was only quoted $75 from Best Buy.
I think if I move quickly on Friday perhaps the market will not be completely flooded?
I assume that I just do a hard reset? And obviously let Verizon know I'm selling it?
Have you had success using site before?

Yes, I have used Swappa before. They charge a flat 10 buck fee for selling unlike eBay.
There are always people looking for devices off contract so simply list yours and see what happens. You'll be required to provide the ESN when you make the listing. The Swappa staff will ensure the ESN is clear and no issues with selling the device. No reason to inform Verizon you are selling it.
Make sure you remove the SD Card (if you are using one) and do a hard reset. Take plenty of pictures of the device (you'll have to upload a verification photo of your device and the listing number that is generated when you make the listing). Be honest when you describe the device and point out any discrepancies. Price accordingly - you'll be able to see what has recently sold and for how much. Don't be surprised if someone offers you less than what you have it listed for.
I sure wouldn't give to to Best Buy for $75 bucks, but that's me.
