Bye Bye, Note 10+, hello iPhone Pro Max XL

For me, fingerprint sensor > facial recognition, hands down.

The iPhone 11 is a considerable effort by Apple to catch up with the competition from the likes of Huawei (P30 Pro), Samsung (S10) etc which have left Apple way behind in terms of cool features, battery life and camera abilities/setups.

And they kept prices rather reasonable.

In defense of Apple (sort of), I *do* like how they have six colours to choose from. I'd love more colour variety.

Tmobile USA only offers 4 colors for the pro and pro Max. One less then either Note. They offer six for ther less expensive new basic 11, just like they did for the XR.

That's all of the color options available from apple. No matter what carrier you have those are all of the options. Apple offers the iPhone 11 in 6 colors and the iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max in 4 colors.

Got it. People on here were talking like all the 11s had all 6 colors and Samsung offered so few.

I think it's more about when Apple releases something, all colors are available everywhere in the world. When Samsung does, it's based on region/carrier and million different reasons.

This is the 1st year since I have started using smartphones where I'm least interested about the iPhones released last week. On top of it my Note10+ is already years ahead of what has been showcased by Apple in the event. I would never want to move away from the beasty Note10+ to iPhone 11 Pro/Max.

iPhone 11 reviews are out and looks like they are back on top of camera game. Let's see what Pixel 4 is going to bring in. It'll be close between the iPhone 11 and Pixel 4 is my guess. (Yes I don't care about Huawei phones even though they may be the best camera)

Why don’t people care about Huawei phones? Newer ones (since they won’t have google services and apps) I understand, but with the P20, Mate 20 and P30 Pros, Huawei has demonstrated that they are absolute beasts when it comes to battery longevity and camera performance, whilst retaining/including all the features people care about like OLED displays, fast charging, waterproofing etc as well as new features like reverse wireless charging, speed and in display fingerprint scanners.

I doubt even the iPhone 11 can beat the P30 Pro when it comes to the cameras, battery, other main features and new technologies like in display fingerprint scanners (which it doesn’t have).

For one they are not officially available in the US and no I don't like buying imported models from Amazon/eBay or other places. May be if they were officially sold here then I would have definitely bought it. For now I'm happy with Pixel or Samsung or Apple all of which are officially sold here.

I bought my 2nd Note 8, this Note 9 and have Just ordered my Note 10 plus 5G from eBay and have had no problems, even registered them for warranty directly with Samsung

Don't trust the company.

Ok. Personally I trust the company’s mobile phones (no evidence of mobile phone spying)...their 5G tech, not so much (though again, no proof of spying even when scoured by UK intelligence). But not trusting Huawei is understandable.

I've felt this way before the big uproar on their 5G stuff. Just a personal thing for me.

Ok.

Going back to the iPhone, do you think DxOmark is biased towards it? They just announced that they will be including ultra-wide angle and night mode performance into their scores (and have updated some phones accordingly so far). Doing this just after the iPhone 11 announcement seems pretty fishy as iPhones are only getting ultra-wide cameras and night modes this year while Samsung, Huawei and Google have had night modes and (for the first two) ultra wide lenses for a while now...
