Hi all,

I like using the Android Calendar app that naturally syncs with Google's calendar. No surprises there, but is there a win-app that will do the same with Windows without having to use the browser and login to my Google account and then go to calendar?

Google has a win-app for emails that will check to see if there are any without having to log in, so wondering if there is a Google or 3rd party app for windows that will do that for the Calendar in the background too.

Thoughts?

You could try this. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ps%3A%2F%2Fwww.emclient.com%2F&token=WxYQ45Gn

I just made and app link in chrome personally. Opens the web interface but looks like a desktop program without all the browser framing. Until Google and Microsoft kiss and make up things aren't going to get better on that front. I hate to say it but Google is being the bigger horses tush on this one.

You could also just use Outlook.com calendar instead of Google calendar. It will sync with the calendar app on your pc and on your Android device....... at least until Google has another round of what api ain't I supporting today that is.

Thanks TT, but I wrote my own POP client as I was not happy with the privacy these IMAP accounts insist on sneaking away from us in the background, so not about to use adaptations. :)

I found a couple of free apps for linking to g-cal but they had terrible interfaces and both need a lot of work yet. GMinder and GoogleCal. Caveat Emptor.

Looks like I will have to write my own linker to g-cal, but it was worth asking first.

Give a look at Chronos Calendar. It syncs well with google calendar and lets you create events on the windows phone.

Ummm, I have an Android Moto X with Android and want to use the g-calendar on my Windows-PC without going into the browser and having to log into the g-account.

Moto X is the 3rd Android phone I've used Jorte on. It syncs perfectly and instantly with the Google calendar and has a widget that I've always preferred.
