Call AT&T and complain to them about false advertising!

I have been trying to do this to get some movies on my phone. Do you download them straight to the phone?

I usually use the putlocker servers.
Once you click on the movie you want to see?
There you select continue as "free user"
The next screen will look like play video screen.
At the bottom of this screen you should see a "mobile version" link .click on this and your download should start.

Once the download is done simply go to your photo gallery and find the movie under downloads and play.

Elixir has a widget that you can track data usage with. It doesn't discern between dl and ul, but mine showed a couple of mb the first hour I had it on and I wasn't doing much of anything. I took the widget off though because it was using too much battery for my liking.

Being impartial I have to agree with Dilrod in saying I call complete and utter BS on this post. There is absolutely NO WAY that you upload 6-9GB on average per month from your mobile device. You probably download/upload that much combined but no way you upload that much. Also the examples you used such as watching YouTube videos in HD is an example of downloading not uploading so like Dilrod said you seem clueless. Not saying you are clueless just saying the examples you used as uploading are absolutely terrible.

*Anxiously awaiting verbal attack* ;-)

No you absolutely right. I didn't realize I used the term Upload. What I meant to convey was data usage as a whole.when using my Evo.

The point being made is, AT&T only has reduced UPLOAD speeds on their 4G phones. The DOWNLOAD speeds are working as fast as possible for the given area. This has nothing to do with data caps, or all the downloading you do.

Initially, the thread I started was to point out that AT&T
has been selling both the HTC Inspire4G and Motorola Atrix 4G
under the moniker "their next generaitons 4G phones" that will utilize
AT&T's HUSPA+ technology.

Which in fact were true to only the download side.Which I admit
I over looked the fact as a whole. My apology to Dilrod.

However, as the topic states... There was a bit of misleading on AT&T's part.

AT&T admitted it.

If you search the internet.

There are AT&T subscribers who have called AT&T
to complain regarding this discrepancy.
For the most part some of them have been compensated/credited on their bill or some were told to return the phone(s)and get their money back.

Yes upload and download speeds has no relevance to each other.
Again I apologize for this confusion.

This thread was to give you guys a heads up.
That there was something that AT&T wasn't being open
or true to you all about. That's what I wanted to convey.

Then, the the point shifted to data use.

And yes, I can assure you, even a mobile phone can use
a nice bit of data in a given time.

Especially, when speed has upped the ante.
