Call end tone gone?

I have noticed that the tone I used to hear when disconnecting a call is missing from my 6 Pro. I can't see an option to turn it on in the phone app or sounds menu. I find it very useful to know the call is disconnected before I say something I don't want heard.

I had a Pixel 3XL before that had this for years. I only had Android 12 on that device for a couple of days before my 6 Pro arrived, so not sure if it is the new device that doesn't have this or if it is another function they took away from us in 12.

I'm getting a tone on mine, about a second after the call is actually terminated. I didn't make any changes in settings that I'm aware of that would have triggered it on or off.

Just odd that there is no setting for it, that I can find. Do you have a Pro?

Found the problem. Went into Settings, Apps, Phone and noticed Phone did not have permissions for Files and Media. Once I allowed that the call end tone is back. Not sure why it was set that way as that was never an option during setup.

This fix worked. Might have to do with initial setup somewhere somehow. If I ever factory reset. I'll keep an eye out. Sound came back for call end but man it take a good second or 2

Thank you Davidoo. I have a (soon to be upgraded) Pixel 4 and a work Pixel 4a. Both have just had their updates to Android 12 and I noticed that the call-end-tone had gone. This was especially useful in the car to ensure that the call has actually ended or to let you know that it's dropped off the network.

Your fix worked fine - and I would never have thought of that without your help.

As other people have said, I generally like the update to 12 - but I hate the huge stacked digital clock on the lockscreen. Any suggestions?

My 3XL running 12 still has the tone as usual.

Yes!! Finally an answer.

Thank you Davidoo. In my case I hated that awful sound when hanging up. Your trick worked and I can stop looking for an answer which was taking me way too long to find the answer. Of course Google was of no help. They told me that they never heard of this issue. I think you should work for Google!!🙂

OMG, I thought it was just me with this. I can't find anything other than changing it to analog which doesn't help the situation lol

Make sure you have one persistent notification (like from a weather app) set up. You'll never again see the giant clock.

At first I didn't like it either. But it's grown on me. I find it super handy at night--I've got it set so there are no notifications shown on the lock screen so with one glance and I can easily see the time.

Also some of the times look somewhat cool, like 3:03 or 11:11, for example.
