The annual trade-in race

Now I'm worried. Still nothing. . Talk me off the ledge friends

I have video of me packing up the phone and I took video with the phone right before I packed it up.

Don't get worried untill you get a refusal. Most go thru and ones that don't they usually fix it. I take pictures myself also even though they will probably be worthless with Samsung CS.
 
I'm doing my trade in through ATT. I'll send mine of to them Tuesday after i get off from work. I hope everything goes well. I have my proof in case it doesn't. Samsung definitely scared me when I did a trade in for my Bud 3 Pros. I sent the trade in to them in Nov 2024. They contacted me in April of 2025 saying I sent an empty box. I'm so glad i had pictures for proof.

They usually always reverse the refusal to approval. Pictures are really useless as there's nothing saying a person didn't remove the item after taking pictures, video a little better if you have yourself filmed the whole process with the box continuously in the video.

I personally think Samsung was so used to FedEx workers stealing items they mostly reversed the rejected email.

My biggest nightmare had is this....I've been thru the FedEx and Samsung BS before. The package was not delivered and way past due with no tracking showing anything. I contacted Samsung with the I have pictures of everything and they didn't want the pictures so they said to contact FedEx and file a claim. I contacted FedEx and they said to contact the party that paid for shipping, Samsung in this case and have them file the claim, only the shipper that paid for shipping can file a claim, and you guessed it, Samsung sent me back to FedEx. I was on the phone a lot with FedEx and they issued tickets finally. Fortunately for me a couple weeks later the package all of a sudden was delivered, just got a the package delivered email.

Like I said, for the most part Samsung reverses the rejected emails. If it never gets delivered, it's a fun time promised

I had video also but it was only of me putting them in the box. I need to start videoing the whole thing.
 
I'm not trying to scare people on here, I just speak my experiences. I just know dealing with Samsung CS makes a person consider jumping into a wild elephant stampede.
i appreciate hearing the experiences. Y'all are the reason I even started taking pics and video just in case. I never thought I'd need to use the proof, but when they tried to get me I'm glad I had it.

I remember reading a few threads on this and this year is the first time I'm sending something worth this much.

A few days later I got the email from Samsung saying my trade-in is completed.
 
Just got my "Trade-in successful" email at 10:00 on Sunday, right. They must be working overtime. I left the 8.5 beta installed. They don't care.

Nice, funny I left the beta on too but wasn't too worried it would be an issue. Hopefully hear something today..

At this point I would just just be glad to get my phone! I ordered a White 512GB from Best Buy and of course it's late/back ordered. I gave the Executive Office holy heck and they suthorized a $75 egift card card which I was told would be arriving in my inbox in 1-3 days. Well today is Day 4 and no gift card so they can't even deliver email on a timely basis!

Emailed my contact in Executive Office just now. If my gift card isn't here today I am requesting a $100 gift card sent snail mail and I am going to report to the MN State AG...their customer service team tried hard to do a bait & switch on me and tried to sell me on an iPhone that "is in stock & ready to ship now"!

Never again...I just tried to save a couple hundred bucks on the storage upgrade Samsung failed to offer during pre-order!

Yeah Best buy usually runs better deals,but that has to come with expectations of late deliveries. If you are in a hurry to get the pre-order Best buy is not your place. If you're willing to wait to get the special deals then best buy is good, you'll eventually get your phone and the better deal.
 
And now I wait for the email....
