Android Central Question

Hi guys. Question to all using Cricket Wireless on a Pixel 2. When im trying to use call forwarding i get an message network or sim card error. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Does anyone use call forwarding with no issues on the same network and phone? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

How are you attempting to initiate call forwarding - using short dialing codes, dialer settings, etc.?

Have you ever successfully used call forwarding on Cricket in the past?

The sim card does work with forwarding calls on another phone (ZTE) . Yes i have contacted Cricket and twice to Google. Google said they may replace the phone but i dont want to end up with a refurbished phone with the same issue.

A lot of "refurbished" Pixel 2s are almost new phones that someone tried to flash on a USB 3.0 port with a USB 3.0 cable. Google Tech Support considers the symptoms it causes (locked in the bootloader with no way to get out) to be a hardware failure and replaces them, then flashes them and - surprise - there's nothing wrong with the phone, so since it can't be sold as new, it's a refurb.

The problem, though, seems to be with the update to 8.1. You're not the only one having the problem with Cricket. Google has had other reports (and no solutions). One possible solution (mentioned in a HowardForums post) is to register your IMEI with Cricket - if cricket allows registering IMEIs.

No definitive answer yet. Sorry.
