Call to friends mobile gets routed to Samsung support.

Hi.

Occasionally when I call my friends S8+ from my Note 8 a strange thing happens. Instead of him answering or me being diverted to voice mail the call is answered by the automated Samsung support service.

It never happens when he calls me. We are both using different providers.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same strange phenomenon?

Never. Next time it happens, go through the actions needed to get a live person, then report the problem.

I suppose that's the obvious thing I should have thought of doing really. Next time I'll do just that. It'll be interesting to hear what they say.

Not that I would ever do it, but in phone settings, more settings, when to forward calls, it's possible to put Samsung or Apple supports phone number into the 'forward if busy' or forward when not answered '. This sends spam calls to the above, along with those I would not want to answer.
