Camera Fail Error on Contiuum

I just purchased my Samsung Continuum five days ago. The phone has been working perfectly until yesterday. When I click on the app or the button to load the camera, I receive the error message "Warning! Camera fail." I installed the Verizon update several days ago, but the camera worked fine even after that. Can someone please help me correct this problem? I love the phone otherwise.

i would do a factory restore, if that doesnt work , i would return it as defective
