Will my glass being removed from my camera keep it from focusing in?? I cracked it and took it the rest of the way off, will I need to replace my camera?? I used to be able to take pictures of stuff like my computer screen or tablet screen clearly,I'll add a photo to show what it looks like now

So the lens on your camera cracked? I'd imagine that does play a factor in the focusing. Are you able to take any pictures in focus at all?

Nope I tried and tried on many things,I can look at the camera while tapping on the screen to focus and it moves

Some people call the glass just glass or the glass a lens but yes the glass did crack

Yeah, just making sure I understood correctly. If nothing is focusing at all, then it might have damaged something inside the camera itself on top of cracking the lens. You're going to have to get it repaired or replaced unfortunately

I'm hoping it's just a piece of glass around it,it's either drive a hr or so to samsung, pay someone 100 to fix it or do it myself for roughly 40 bucks and void my warranty

It's quite risky to do it yourself. We get a lot of people on here who do it themselves and either make it worse or simply don't fix the issue. Then they end up paying someone else anyway

I'm pretty good at it,I've been doing it for awhile,I guess I'm just gonna do it myself,is there any adhesive tape on the mid frame? I can't find any to buy only the tape for the back

Not sure. I've never done it myself. There might be a YT video you can follow to see what parts you'll need

Do you have insurance? If so, you may be able to get it fixed or repaired for the cost of your deductible.

It's focusing normal now,and yes my deductible is 200,I'm hoping the camera stays working,I'm thinking a piece of glass got caught up in it
