camera glass protection

I don't use flash often, but when I do I don't want it to look like there's a bonfire nearby. Goin look at skins. There used to be clear ones.
Yeah, I already pre-ordered a clear matte one from SlickWraps. I am looking at Sopiguard now for other skins.

after watching this I'm wondering if I should really worry about a screen protector for the bump.

Ugh, the N20U Gorilla Glass Victus cracks at 3ft and FPS dead

I don't know about these drop tests. If it already cracks at 3 ft, why bother going higher?

It's already cracked at this point and structural strength that was on the glass is gone and you're just watching which falls apart faster and the damage after the first can be random.

If anything, I'd think the Note lost the moment it cracked at 3ft but it's not really surprising if you see where it cracked.. at the curve. Corning can say Victus is x% stronger than last gen GG, but there numbers are always based on a specific thickness of glass (which Samung may spec different) and their numbers are based on a flat glass... You shape it and bend it, all bets are off.

I've thought about the camera protector from Whitestone Dome but some say it can affect photos with flash and to be honest I've not seen enough chatter from people saying theirs are cracking or being scratched.

I'll be using a Samsung Black Leather back case that has a lip around the camera module and I have a dbrand Black Dragon Camera Skin on the way too.

I always fit the same style dbrand back skin on my phones anyway.

I'm one who had the back camera glass on my S20 Ultra break. Highly recommend the WSD back camera protector. Haven't had any issues with my back camera glass, knock on wood, since applying it.

It doesn't affect my picture quality at all either.

Do you constantly wipe fingerprints from the camera protector? I have the WSD on both the front and camera and they are huge fingerprint magnets.

Even with the cutout on the flash and laser, you still had a blue haze? Like as if you were taking a picture in a smokey room?

This is what I got with the WSD camera protector. Compared to my N10+, that has no lense cover...

Tested On mines and i can't create your situation took few pictures before putting it on then i put the WSD Camera protector took same pictures i did before and pictures looks identical just thought i mention it.

Mine were in the dark with flash on. I was able to replicate it. I wiped everything down before I applied the protector. I could also just be unlucky.

This case is really growing on me for the camera protection.

I wonder if having the the camera module covered in black kevlar with only the camera exposed could help in consistent pic quality because you're possibly blocking any extra light from that large piece of glass or refracted light that may throw of the sensors? With this setup, you are definitely only getting light though the cutouts only.

It all depends on how it lands, what it lands on and how fast it falls...aided as opposed to unaided drop. My Note 10+ display completely shattered landing on concrete from less than 2 feet. It was assisted by the wag of a fast moving big dogs tail which accelerated it to the ground and it landed flat.

Probably twice a day I use a microfiber cloth to clean the back camera protector. It doesn't bother me too much and I have bad OCD. The little hole that WSD designed in the back camera screen protector ensures the main camera isn't covered. On the S20 Ultra at least. I'm assuming they disgned the Note 20 Ultra one the same way.
