We can start discussions about all Moto X Play camera issues. I'll start from my:

Is there a bug or some not finalized camera code by Motorola? When I point camera for a close shoot it auto focuses, but not that well so I point focus manually and it looses focus at all, view turns worst than it was with auto focus. BUT if I point and hold focus with my finger I see that camera zooms and focuses quiet well just it turns back to blurred position. So, as I understand it can focus closer just the code or a bug doesn't let it and bringing back to the starting auto focus position.

Have you tried a different camera App? I'm using Google Camera on mine and find that it works much better than the stock camera app. Also has more settings for picture size and that. I'm sure there are many other, even better camera apps on the play store. I like the default Moto camera, but have found it has some quirks that I don't like as well.

Yes, I've tried lot of apps: Google Camera, Fv-5 (full version), Open Camera, 360 camera, VSCO camera, HTC camera and other. Problem still exists. Even today tried to scan document and it couldn't focus, struggling back and forth zooming after I touched to focus (auto focus worked well).
