Camera not centered?

I know this is purely cosmetic, but my camera is offset a bit to the right. It doesn't affect the pictures at all, but I am just curious if it is common to not be 100% centered?

To me that looks like the light to your right as you are taking the picture is causing a little shadow within the protective housing of the camera. If the background light is on your left does it look off in the other direction? I think it's an illusion.

It looks off no matter what the lighting or setting. It is off. I even have to give the battery cover a little force to get it to go down over the camera because it doesn't align properly with the cutout. Not a huge deal as it doesn't affect pic quality. Just bugs me if I sit and stare at it.
