...does anyone notice pictures in daylight and other very bright areas get very washed out?

Can't seem to adjust the settings to get better daytime photos.

Use some of the edits like the auto-enhance and such. There are a lot of settings for this camera you can play with friend.

That looks good. The problem is lack of dynamic range which is a bit frustrating given that larger pixels should result in more dynamic range. Hoping they improve that with software update.

If the above picture is an example of the problem you were citing, then yes - the phone will blow highlights when you have mixed lighting.
