Campaign Verizon To Unlock Our Bootloader!

Hopefully Ecrispy's point won't get back handed by a simple "If you don't like them than don't use them," reply. It's easy to throw that out there when you have no idea what the person's situation is.

For example, where I am located Verizon is the only carrier that offers a functional network. Both AT&T and Sprint get about 1kbps down here. In a perfect world, I could buy an unlocked phone from Google Play and go to a contract free carrier but unfortunately that isn't an option for me here.

I think we should start filing FCC complaints. I see it as our best legal option with the 'C Block' rules. What do you think?

Complaining and actually taking some sort of action is always better than complaining without taking any action.

I did, and I got a response from Verizon in letter format cc'd to the FCC. Sure, it was pretty much a form letter with the same bs about ensuring the network is reliable, etc, but at least the FCC and Verizon will at some point have to acknowledge that customers are not happy about the encrypted bootloader.

To which my reply would be. You allow the dev version of the S3 on your network, so your point is moot, give us our unlocked bootloader you hippocritical jackass
