Can a voice mail change after listening to it once?

I listened to a voice mail yesterday on my galaxy S6 phone. The message had a long number in it and was from a male. I did not save the message but just closed the phone until later when I had a pen available to write down the number. When I called up the voice mail later it had a female with a similar message but not identical. Is this possible? Can a voice mail change?

Check your voicemail, usually if you do not action anything, then the message will save. If you dial your voicemail, any new voicemails will play first (this female voice) and any others are located in the saved messages, which should be where your first voicemail is stored. Usually there are options to key in on your phone to access saved messages
