Android Central Question

I have a new Asus Chromebook, 11.5 screen, C202S and it won't run Express VPN. After trying everything with the full function version of Express (Open VPN via the app), including the Express VPN help people who couldn't understand why what they say should be there isn't there, we resorted to the lesser L2TP version which I managed to manually configure. That worked OK for a while, but wasn't stable, and now won't connect at all, just saying network config error. I bought Express VPN because I use Chromebook a lot and I do banking and other financials sometimes in public places. I think it's wrong of Express VPN to say their product is suitable for Chromebook when it just doesn't work. I'd be grateful if anyone who has experience of this could advise, please.

You are aware that banks use https, which is inherently more secure than http, right? And many VPNs, while showing you connecting from a different place (that's the main purpose of a VPN), use only https for security, so you gain nothing but a slowdown in the connection.
