Can bxactions cause hardware malfunction on samsung galaxy s9?

I installed this app yesterday to remap my bixby button but after a day, my fingerprint sensor and intelligent scan won’t work. I did several resets already but nothing changed. Read here that bxactions has some “questionable” security activity so I’m wondering if this could be related to that “questionable” security activity of bxactions.

Nope, it can't. And those 'questionable' security actions are for all the customization options it has (you can't expect an app to re-map hardware without permission to your phone). The only thing that could happen is if, somehow, the security policy got mixed up (but I haven't seen this happen with that app before). You can always either uninstall the app or boot up into safe mode to test it, but the app doesn't make any changes to those sensors.
