The HTC M9 has no way to to turn off auto-correct when typing. I repeat, there is no way to turn off auto-correct when using the M9. As much as I despised my Galaxy, I would switch back in a second if I could for this one reason alone.

Maybe the Vive could help them in the long run. While it remains to be seen whether VR could become the next big thing, the chances are good, in my view. I mean, it seems unlikely that Facebook would abandon the Oculus anytime soon, so they would probably market it heavily, which would raise awareness about VR in general. And with Valve's good reputation behind it, the Vive has every chance of becoming a very successful product in that market.

You could switch to one of the keyboards that has the option to disable auto correct.

I don't think HTC can make a full comeback, they are too far behind and there are tons of "new" companies coming up now like One+ and Oppo. It'll be really hard for HTC to capture the market again, even if they manage to innovate.

I was a big HTC fan up until the m7 and my wife currently has the m8. HTC has always made solid hardware design phones and some will say HTC sense is one of the better skin. However what I have noticed since the legal issues with apple, they have fallen tremendously. Also manufacturers have step up their design with phones. They all have a premium device as many would like to use premium for that better quality. HTC has one of the best front facing speakers if not the best and a solid built device yet they can't make that leap and it just goes to show it's not all about a good solid well built device. In my opinion I don't think they can come back and the only way they survive, is if they truly believe in their products and don't give up. I think Steve job said this also lol but I'm rooting for them.

Not in the high end market, midrange? Yes and I think unlocked phones with boomsound is a great start.

Lightweight and small with great speakers. They don't need 4k at all.

As predicted the m9 is a failure. Releasing a flagship with old generation specs won't cut it.
