Can I downgrade my htc u11 to nougat?

I just had the Oreo update installed last night but it's horrible for me. My phone looks like a kid's plastic toy, a totally ugly UI, plus a bunch of settings that I don't need or approve. I hope there's a way out of this nightmare

I actually like the UI. however I'm having horrible battery issues even after a factory reset. I think it's just a 8.0 update. And if I could I would go back to some point one simple and just cuz the battery but I do not believe there's a way to go back to 7.1.1
