Can I get some help moving data to an SD card (shows error not enough space, sd card is blank)?

cannot move anything to sd card, shows error not enough space, sd card is blank

i have an xperia z1 compact, running CM 12-20150215-NIGHTLY-amami (android version 5.0.2).

i have a blank 32 GB SD card installed, formatted FAT32. the phone sees the card and shows that it has 29.88GB available.

every time i go into the apps, and click on the "move to sd card" button, i get the error, "couldn't move app. not enough storage space."

clearly, there is plenty of storage space.

i would love to know how i can fix this... because this phone doesn't have a ton of space and i want to free up space on the phone.

not sure how i could put other things on the sd card (pics or music), there is not setting in the camera app to store the pictures on the card,

any help would be appreciated.

Try formatting the card in the phone. Some phones don't like the stock FAT32 format the cards come with.
