Can I get some help unlocking my phone?

Greetings and thank you !

Ok i have a tmo m8 . Trying to use it on Straight talk but APN settings wouldnt work. They told me to unlock it.

So i bought the code but it says to use Unaccepted SIM to initiate the process. Well the ST SIM seems to be acceptable.

Is there another way to enter code or HELP with APN?

Add the ST APN. Then delete the original one, or choose to use the ST one. (Keep the code - if you ever change carriers, or sell the phone, it will still work. Or find another carrier's SIM, put it in and unlock it now. It won't make any difference when you're using the current SIM.)

ST is the network operator, not the carrier. The carrier is either AT&T or TMobile, which is why they give you the choice - you can get a SIM that will work in the phone without unlocking it. (Unlocking the phone may unlock the APN editing ability, though. Just find someone with a phone on AT&T that uses a nanoSIM, plug it in, turn the phone on and, when it asks for the unlock code, put it in. Caution - be careful and if it says it's the wrong code, don't try again. There's a limited number of tries, then the phone locks, and you have to get the PUK from the carrier - which you can't do because it's not on a currently active tmo account.)

Phone seems to work fine with st SIM. Just can't get msg working . Will try again in morning.
