Help with Samsung tab 3 kids tablet

my daughter dropped the tab 3 in the toilet by mistake about 2 or 3 months ago and the screen went black since.. I tried the rice trick and was unsuccessful with getting it to turn back on so I figured it for dead but I did not throw it away. and today on a hunch I plugged it in to see if it would work and the Samsung galaxy tab 3 load screen came on for like five to ten seconds then it went off again. I tried the pulling the battery cord trick and if I leave it for like a minute when I reconnect the cord the load up screen will come on again for a bit and look like its about to come back to life then goes black. my question is.... will a replacement battery work or does anyone have any other clues. the screen appears to be normal and it looks like its trying to come to life but falls short... so is a new battery the answer???

Re: Help with Samsung tab 3 kids tablet

I don't think battery will fix it. Your tablet has either water damaged mainboard or LCD or both. Troubleshoot these water damaged circuits are not simple. You have to open the rear case and look for where of water residues stay: mainboard or LCD circuit and I don't think they can be fixed once dropped in water.Water residues cause shorted circuits.
The only way to know which one is working is to swap the main board to see if the LCD can display normally. You can only test this way if you have another tab 3 like SM-T210R or SM-T2105, different Tab 3 tablets but mainboard and other parts almost identical.
