Can I install applications to an external thumb drive?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can answer my question. I have an OTG USB adapter and an 8GB thumb drive on which I was hoping to store some apps, (mostly games) but I cannot seem to find out if I can do so or how I might go about it. I'd greatly appreciate some insight.

Does this phone have a SD card ? Thumb drive be ok for pictures and music but not apps

Agh that's really disappointing. The size is of no consequence in regards to it's capabilities? I also have a 128 gb and 1tb one. I assume the phone has an SD? I don't recall placing one in, so if it isn't stock then probably not. Having trouble getting back case off to be sure.

I'm not familiar with the device but. Since it has a removable battery it's probably in that area near sim card but need to purchase a SD card as phones don't come with them

It will but don't recommend it to load apps or use internal storage as SD card cause way too much issues for that , just keep as storage for music and pictures and video
