Good day everyone! I would like to reset my phone without losing any data. I've seen the option on Galaxy S7, but i don't see it as an option on the Note 5.
I would do a factory reset, but the Note 5 isn't behaving well. It won't recognize my usb cable, so i can't save my photos, and Google Photos and the Note 5 aren't play well together, because i see my photos on my phone, i have Google Photos setting set to back up all photos, but not all photos are being saved to Google Photos, only about 70% are being saved, and it shows that i have plenty of storage left.

So,,that's why i want to reset the phone and not lose data.

Thank you.

However, reset settings option returns the device’s settings to the
factory default settings(Except Security, Language, Account setting)
without deleting data. It do not affect to personal data and download
applications.

Factory Reset means "delete anything I've done to the phone since it came out of the box". You're asking if you can reset the phone without resetting the phone. The PC not seeing the USB cable has nothing to do with resetting the phone, but is in "charge", not "MTP", that's normal - pull down the notifications and change that. No idea why Google Photos isn't saving all your pictures, except that the Google server is known to have problems from time to time. (I couldn't save my contacts for a few weeks recently.)

Back everything up (see Backing up an Android Device) if you want to reset. You WILL lose everything.
