Android Central Question

As question, really. I'm hearing impaired and I can hear callers much better on speaker.

At the moment I can only seem to go to speaker after actually answering the phone, which is irritating to do every single time, and I tend to miss the first thing the caller says so I have to ask them to repeat what they just said lol

Unfortunately this is only possible to set up with external devices connected (it goes to the BT device/headset automatically), but no option to automatically answer the phone on speakerphone.

There's a way to do it with Tasker - but you have to trip the proximity detector first. (Put your hand at the top of the phone after answering, then remove it and you're on speakerphone. [Put it to your ear and you're off speakerphone.]) But you need Tasker to do it (and it's not free).

I tend to use the speakerphone a lot... So I get wanting to save steps to turn the speakerphone on.
What I don't get is why someone would start talking before you say hello.

Where are you using your phone most? in an office, home or out and about? Have you thought about just a Bluetooth speaker?

Thanks, the speaker is a good idea. They speak first because I take a good few seconds of fumbling with the phone first lol

Rukbat thanks I downloaded Tasker, it does loads of stuff! Brilliant, good suggestion, thank you
