Android Central Question

My situation is this:

I have a Samsung note9 SM-N9600 phone with an android version of 9 from Movistar. I really want to make an upgrade to android 10 but Movistar does not release yet the update. Would be a problem if i update with another firmway version of android 10 for SM-N9600 model number?

It would probably fail to install, or if it did, it would cause problems.

I think it would work, although I've only read about folks flashing unlocked firmware on a carrier locked version of the N960U / U1 and vice versa, not the N9600, but I would think the same rules apply.
Some digging on xda forums should provide a more concrete answer.

I think that version you have is international dual sim , you can flash another firmware but you probably be on the update schedule of that firmware you flash , I wouldn't just wait unless you know how to flash back and forth .

Be careful about flashing firmware that's not intended for your exact variant -- it could cause various issues, ranging from very minor to highly problematic. Do a lot of research beforehand to make sure other people have had a good experience with it.
