Can I use a Galaxy gear s gsm unlocked on Cricket Wireless or Straight Talk?

I have Verizon wireless but have the unlimited data plan so couldnt get the watch unless I gave up my data. I just wanted to use a prepaid carrier on it so I can cancel anytime I want. I ask Cricket about it and they said it could work but they didnt really Know because they can only guarantee data for phones. I havea Note 4 and would like to pair it with that but I want a little data plan on it just in case I need it. Thanks
