Use both charger and OTG on Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

At the moment I can only use my OTG cable OR the charger - but I want to use both at the same time. Keep the tablet charged up while I use an external device like a flash drive etc.

The Note Pro has such a strange connector going into the tablet from the charger, it's difficult to find something like a splitter or a hub to work with it.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Re: Use both charger and OTG on Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

Hey guys, I would like to know if anyone has done this, too.

That is, use an on-the-go through a powered USB hub, to which is also connected perhaps a hard drive and a charger. Or a hard drive and a portable DAC for playing music (ie Note Pro to powered hub, powered hub to external hard drive, and also powered hub to DAC)
And where would the on-the-go be connected? From Note Pro to powered hub, or powered hub to DAC?

Not quite what I had in mind, but an interesting little gadget. Would probably allow me to do what I want: connect hard drive to it, wirelessly read the files, and use the Note Pro's USB port to connect to a DAC. Hmmmm.

It's not truly a strange connector, but a default USB 3.0 microconnector.
The left is the 'extra' for 3.0 speed, the right part is like a USB 2.0 microconnector (as you must have noticed using an OTG cable; there should exist, but I never found a 3.0 OTG) that handles the loading part. I use that for loading frequently on locations where only a stong phone DAC is available.
Ask Google "can a phone be charged through an OTG cable" and you will find a YES and the how to ...

When you truly use 3.0 speed (blue USB connector on the drive as well) you will find the data speed lowered to USB 2.0 level of course. Most drives or other externals (including the OTG cable) come with USB 2.0 (white connector) still though, so there is little chance you'll notice.
