Android Central Question

All the info I have found so far shows the LTE version needs number share. Without LTE connectivity, doesnt the watch just act like a bluetooth device?

thanks Mustang7757. That is what I thought. So a follow-up question. I have a Samsung S7 Edge. I want to use the Galaxy watch along with it. Will I be able to take calls and answer texts with just the BT connection (assuming my phone is within range) or do I need to have the LTE version for this?

Yes. I had an S7 and my Gear S3 BT and could make and receive calls on my watch.
