Can I use oil on my smartphone's screen to make it smoother while using?

Hello, Everyone! This may sound stupid or you can say funny but can I wipe my phone's screen with oil to make it feel smoother when using it? Does it make any difference? I have seen some people sharing some good experiences when they use oil on their phone screens to make it look glossy & I have heard a lot of negative feedback too that oil will make my screen rough & bad.
Now all I wanna know is that should I continue using Oil to wipe screen & if yes then which oil? Or I have been doing this completely wrong? Kindly someone guide me how to properly let phone's screen stay smoother & responsive?
